Technical Project Manager (Capital Markets – Book Building System)

Technical Project Manager – Capital Markets / Book Building System
Investment Banking

? Contract £600–£700 per day | Inside IR35
? Canary Wharf – Hybrid working (2–3 days onsite per week)
? 6-month initial contract (extensions expected)

You’ll be joining a leading Investment Bank, managing the delivery of a Capital Markets project focused on the rollout of a Book Building System within the Debt Capital Markets (DCM) division.

This is a hands-on technical project management role – driving delivery, governance, and stakeholder engagement across front, middle, and back-office teams. You’ll work closely with Technology, Trading, and Capital Markets functions to ensure a seamless deployment of the new platform.

What you’ll be doing in the job:

  • Leading the delivery of a Book Building System project within the Capital Markets business

  • Coordinating between business, technology, and vendor teams to ensure milestones and integration points are met

  • Overseeing system deployment, testing, and production rollout in a regulated banking environment

  • Managing project governance, RAID logs, budgets, and reporting to senior stakeholders

  • Ensuring alignment with existing capital markets workflows and infrastructure

What experience you need to be successful:

  • Proven track record as a Technical Project Manager within Investment Banking or Capital Markets

  • Extensive knowledge of Capital Markets, particularly Debt or Credit products

  • Hands-on experience deploying or overseeing Book Building Systems (mandatory)

  • Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, front-to-back system integration, and regulatory requirements

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills – able to liaise across Technology, Trading, and Operations

  • Familiar with Agile delivery, vendor coordination, and global project governance structures

This is a high-visibility project within a global bank — ideal for someone who understands the pace and precision of Capital Markets delivery and has already deployed a Book Building platform before.
