Senior Database Engineer – FS Reporting Agency in Leeds - £55,000 + Bonus
We are excited to launch a new Senior Database Engineer search for a leading Financial Reporting Agency based in Leeds, who are one of the top providers in the UK. They are looking for a talented engineer to join their established team and offer a career progression path based on skill instead of experience.
Your role as a Database Engineer will involve the adoption of modern engineering practices to help develop our client’s product. This will involve writing services and components in SQL and C#, the maintenance of existing systems, and improving their software via automation and DevOps techniques.
Although this is titled as a Senior Database Engineer, we encourage candidates who are confident in the listed requirements to apply, as this role will be judged on technical skills as opposed to years of experience.
This is a hybrid position with 2days a week in the office required.

What will you be doing?
- Assume a role as a Database Developer in a team made up of development and test engineers
- Write well-structured, maintainable code
- Work with Senior Developers and Architects to design new products or enhancements/changes to existing product.
- Ensure development is carried out to the department policy, procedures and technical/process standard
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and internal teams to resolve reported issues as quickly as possibl
- Involvement in Process Improvement
- Solid commercial experience of programming, including MS SQL Server and potentially C#
- Financial Services background is preferrable but not essential
- Experience of modern CI/CD practices and technique
- Exposure working in agile teams using either Scrum, Kanban, or both
- Automated testing and deployment
- Design of complex systems
