Trade Floor Junior Desktop Engineer – Global Hedge Fund in London - £35,000 - £40,000
We are currently searching for a Trade Floor Junior Desktop Engineer to join a rapidly growing Hedge Fund with offices across the globe. This role will report into their Central London HQ 5 days a week onsite.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an up-and-coming IT Support professional to join a prestigious organization with a clear path to advance their career further up the ranks within their skilled Infrastructure department.
What will you be doing?
- Working 5 days a week onsite in their top of the range London HQ on a Help Desk rotation - Monday – Friday (06:00-15:00 or 11:00-19:00)
- Supporting a user base of 300, including VIP’s & Traders.
- Providing onsite and remote support.
- Answering the helpdesk phone and resolving tickets via Jira.
- Add to the helpdesk knowledgebase via Confluence.
- Escalate requests to seniors with clear troubleshooting notes.
- Helping to perform desk moves.
- Joiners/Leavers support.
What do you need?
- Strong passion for IT & a career in Financial Services.
- We are not expecting a subject matter expert but knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows Desktop& other Workstation Technologies is necessary.
- Some basic scripting or PowerShell experience.
- Confident with software and hardware troubleshooting issues.
- Ability to understand the time deadlines & financial pressures our users are under and prioritize those people’s issues first.
- Able to work some weekend out of hours calls rotation (Saturday & Sunday)
