Bringing a wealth of recruitment experience to our Belfast team, Con joins Harrington Starr as part of our software team, focusing on the dynamic Java market. In such a competitive space, we asked Con to share one piece of advice he would give to those looking to make their next career move:

"I did a lot of research into this and found that there wasn't many agencies that every recruiter strived to work for. Like an equivalent to a Google or a Facebook who you could argue are some of the best companies in the world.

In a market where every agency says they are the best, it can be hard to choose. Some will say they have best sourcing tools, best commission structure, no KPIs. but really most recruitment firms offer the same thing. 

My piece of advice when considering your next move is: don’t make your choice based on any of that stuff because you can get that everywhere. I would base your decision on the people who you are going to be working with. 

I choose Harrington Starr because I wanted to part of a world class team and be surrounded by people who are better than me and I can learn off.
